Community involvement not only contributes to my area knowledge, it typifies the community spirit of Reston residents. Like many of them, I feel it's important to give back to the people and place I call home.

Following my training (graduate of The College of William and Mary, and graduate work at the University of Virginia) and career as a teacher in the Fairfax County Public Schools, I volunteered in the public schools and local independent schools, both of which my two girls attended. In the past or at present, I've also been involved or honored with the following:

  • Honored as "Volunteer of the Year" by the Washington Council of Independent Schools
  • Honored by the Reston Association with their first award for "Volunteer Service"
  • Former President of the Reston Swim Team Association
  • Member of St. Anne's Episcopal Church

When you list your home with me, I set in motion an entire process to help sell your home. With my extensive network of agents with whom I communicate through meetings and luncheons, your property receives superior exposure. I also prepare traditional marketing pieces for when your home goes on the market. In addition, my services include:

  • Recommending home improvements to help you better position your house in relation to your competition
  • Consulting on effective home pricing
  • Featuring your home through virtual tours on ipix.com, and in Homes and Land magazine
  • Holding an open house typically the Sunday after your home goes on the market to give you as broad, public exposure as possible
